E93 owners Heat reflecting leather work?

I am still torn on the leather color for my E93, I may just go black, but with the top down any vert I have ever been in with a dark color interior would bake.

I have read that the leather is heat reflective in the E93, does it really work? Anyone with a black interior weigh in please.

Thanks!

It works. No issues here in sunny California.

Works for sure. I checked out the functional display that they had out at BMW Welt. Pretty neat.

+1 all-black int. in SD., it does feel like the leather has been 'treated' imo (smoother?), not unpleasant to the touch though. Previous 5 cars were convertibles with leather interiors and the m3 is noticeable and better in this regard, but only now that I think about it.

I bought my E93 with a black interior in Palm Beach Florida in July.

The seats stay suprising cool when parked in the sun.

OP you might want to change the title of your first post given that it says E92 at the moment.

I have the beige but no issues whatsoever. It is unique leather.

Agree - in Texas (seriously hot this summer!), it worked surprisingly well. The leather should have been hot enough to hurt, and that didn't ever occur.

Cheers

It definitely works, never have I got in my E93 and felt hot leather even in bright sunlight!
