Why increase the stagger if you don't have to? I don't see any reason not to run 255's in the front when switching to 275's in the rear.

Most people modifying the suspension and wheels/tires have a goal of reducing under steer on the M3 (or at least not making it worse). That's why i would recommend keeping the stagger 20mm or less. Again this is not something you will notice in casual driving. There are other ways to dial out under steer via the suspension. The GTS was designed around its tire sizes.
