PFC-01 OEM Fronts: $119.01

Get 'em while they are hot!

Folks - I just picked up two sets of PFC-01 pads front pads for OEM brakes (918 model) for $119.01 through Apex Performance. The rears (919) were $195.

http://apexperformance.net/

There seems to be a screw up with the catalog pricing, or they are clearing out stock. Not sure how long this will last, but I thought I would put this out there for my M3 homeys!

I don't see them on the site, maybe it was an error that they corrected?

^ Yeah, maybe it was a typo, more like $419 instead of $119...

Good for you though.

I should have said call them. They got the price from Performance Friction.

Apex acts as an agent for PF, so they provide you with a quote and the pads are posted direct from PF. If you click on the Apex website under the pads section, you fill out a form for getting a quote. I got a quote 2-3 weeks ago, and was following up with a phone call as I wanted to see if they had Pagids in stock. They didn't, but got me a new quote for PFC-01...which is the one posted here...and sold me two sets of fronts for $119 each. Bonza!

Thanks, quote form sent. I'd prefer the 06's or 08's, but if they will still honor that price I'd be crazy to pay triple that for the 06's or 08's.

Mine arrived last night, confirming the $119.01 for the fronts and $195 for the rears. They are delivered direct from Performance Friction, so they must be cool with the price. They must be clearing PFC-01 inventory - maybe to go exclusively with the new 08 compound.

Too good to be true. I ordered a total of (3 yesterday) and 2 more today (fronts) and a set of rears. I now have a total of 5 fronts and 2 rears in my arsenal. enough to last me a while. I do instruct and tend to take students out so consumables burn quickly on this piggie.

He made me a package deal. $270 for a set of front and rear (no typo here). I believe he has 2 more complete sets. Take it while they are hot!

I pay almost twice that for tiny Boxster pads. Clark and Linda at Apex are great to deal with and support lots of racers.

You need to pick up the phone and call. Clark is a great guy to deal with.

Yes its been there from the 90s but the compound has changed significantly. No more corrosive dust to begin with

Update...

Just swapped an e-mail with Clark at Apex.

The PFC-01's went back to $262 for the fronts last night.

Apex are selling packages of 2 sets of fronts and 1 rear for $389 delivered until they run out of their current stock (Apex stocked up on the pads when they were low price)

I got a couple of sets of fronts, Clark was great to deal with over the phone. That is nice of them to continue to pass along savings, they could definitely sell them for more than that.

No longer at this price, Clark had ordered 15 sets directly from PF and he explained to me that apparently they (PF) screwed up the pricing at the time he ordered. The front ones are sold out and back to normal price as for the rears he only had 2 sets left and I just ordered 1 set so he's only got one set left. Now I have a complete set as spares I got mine for $127 front and $155 rears shipped, that's a hell of a deal, considering I just paid over $400 the other day for a set from bimmerworld.
