But of course......there are plenty of jacks to go around. I'm sure you won't have a problem using one...............Phil

If you want one of your own, check out Harbor Freight. Yes, their tools are total crap but the jacks work fine for track usage. Usually there's a coupon in every automotive magazine for a similar jack below in the $60-$70 range. The do have their issues. You should loctite the bolts because some will get loose. Don't rely on the jack to support the car while you crawl under it. Of all jacks...I would trust this one the least. Harbor Freight Floor Jack Quote:
I got a set of 4 255/40R17's out the door, installed and with road hazard for $700. Which is about the same price as Tire Rack with shipping.

Only if I put glue on them... no, actually, I bought a set of 19" wheels awhile back, and they came with Continental Extreme Contacts on the front, with Michelin Pilot Sports on the back. I figure to burn these down a bit at the track instead of a third-time out with my OEM 18" tires.
Well, anyhow, Sears/Craftsman had a sale on 2-1/4 ton floor jack with two stands for $70, so I grabbed it today. - V .

The discount tire retail stores can match the price and order the tires for you. Should be enough time before 20 Oct. They do take about 4-5 business days so time is getting tight.
Nice!

After spending some time at the Performance center this past weekend I've acquired the "itch" once again...gonna check my schedule and see if I can make it. I'm interested to see how the F30 performs on the track
Still room in the begginer run group? -Scott

you sold your 335? I drove the Momentum F30 328 few months ago at MSR, and wasnt going at speed (had 4 people in the car). I really liked the way the N20 engine performed. The car did feel big and a little floaty but there's alot of potential (maybe a sports pkg car would be better) So come on out. Get your coworker to bring his e30 out too. |
