19" vs 20" wheels

Anyone here going with 20" wheels? Don't see the need other than asthetics for 20" however curious as to the pros and cons. Am looking to go with 19" myself but am not sure what the proper offsets should be?

choice #1 BBS CH 19" Silver finish
choice #2 Breyton Race GTS 10" grey matte or silver finish
choice #3 H.R.E. P40
choice #4 Monoblock VS8

So what thoughts or concerns have anyone had with any of these upgrades so far or as they plan to get their rides modded in this fashion?

I am considering 19" or 20" also. I am thinking about getting the HRE P40. but i am thinking will 20" be too much. But if u decided to run 20" u def need a drop or it will def look like a 4x4.

Please enlighten us with your BMW technical brain, on how changing to aftermarket wheels will effect handling.

I understand the 20 inch argument, but lightweight 19s is a different story.

Weight is the first concern and there's always the potential damage to the wheels.

The esthetics of big wheels don't do it for me but if it floats your boat

+1

i would go with 19's. the way your car drives should be more important than the bling factor.

^I agree with you Blip. I think that 19"s are great, even for the appearance, without having to sacrifice a significant amount of performance/handling. I feel that if you go 20"+, that becomes more about a showcar theme.

Although.. I have seen the E90/E92 with 20" wheels, and I have to say they were tastefully put on.. haha
