Have fun fitting nothing in that tiny trunk. I was inches away from buying one. The tiny trunk, and the lack on low end tourque lost my business. If I never would have test drove the 335, I would have bought a G37 no problem. The Bimmer just spoiled me.

I own a 335i and a g35xs(08 basicaly same as g37) and thr bimmer is much better, however I would take a g37 over a 328 any day of the week because of the performance....however unless you get sports suspension, it will handlr like shit!

One thing I love about the infiniti is the reliability, Ive never been to the dealer since I bought it

You should consider a 335i, its a completely different car than the 328, Im sure you could pick up one slighty used for a good price!!

I know. When the salesman opened the trunk, I went WTF. As long as the trunk is bigger than my S2000, I am fine.

Since my G is AWD, no sports suspension option available. AWD suspension handles like a boat. I did get a few 135i/335i sedan/335xi coupe loaners while my 328i was in shop and yes, they all handles like crazy and performs well BUT the price is

When I had the 328i sedan, I had ZERO rear passengers for 2 1/2 yrs. You can call me OCD but I don't like carrying ppl in the rear seats. No plan on putting anything in the rear area other than shopping bags etc.

Perhaps most here have driven the AWD and not the S. I had the G37S for 2 years and although the steering wasn't as stiff as in the 335i, I'd still say that the G37S had a much better steering ratio and a felt like it handled a little better with less flex. The slalom also proves it since it does it at over 71mph....but you have the AWD so I dunno.

There's no doubt that the 3 series will have a more expensive feel to it when driven, but you will enjoy the Infiniti as well.

I just switched from the 08'Infiniti G35S to a 11' E92 335i
The difference is night and day between the cars. I feel as if the bmw is alot more roomier in the front then the infiniti.
The infiniti seems to jump off the line in which the bmw doesn't.
Like potty pants said..the AC blows much colder..the paint is total crap and chips like no tomorrow.Heated seats take forever to work.
Tilt and telescopic steering wheel and seat was a cool plus.

Only in speed my friend. Handling 328 destroys a g37x

I think the G37S is a perfect compromise between the 328 and 335. If you can afford $40,000 for a car, but not $50,000 the G37 is great. Handles well, good brakes, looks good, relatively reliable. After I did all my comparison shopping my final two choices were the G37S and 335i. Since I could afford the 335 I went that route. It is not leaps and bounds better then the G, but it does everything a little better...and it has that low end torque which is sooo good. Since price seems to be a sizeable factor I think you made a good choice.

Looked at the G AWD sedan when I was shopping. Hated it. Steering felt like manual steering, rear seats were a joke for a sedan, navi layout will get someone killed, car was slow, etc

The G37 coupe sport (RWD) is currently the only Japanese cars I would consider buying, aside from the GTR obviously. I've driven the G plenty of times because my brother owns one, and I've driven a 328i plenty of times as a loaner from the dealer.

G37 > 328

He's coming from a 328, get off his back.

OP, I've been thinking long and hard about the g37x as a daily driver. My RL is getting way up there in miles, and I narrowed it down to the TL SH-AWD (but it's just too big), the Evo MR touring (but it's just too econobox looking), and the g37x (the sedan just looks too effeminate for me). There's just something about the g37x coupe that's rubbing me the wrong way. Can you report back and give a realllly brutally honest review (via PM if you want to avoid the hazing)? I'm at the point where I've almost resigned to waiting for the next gen 3er

My brother owns a G37x...

Frankly, I feel like a lot of people are being pretty harsh. It's a damn nice car... I'm actually somewhat jealous of his interior, not sure where are all the bad interior comments are coming from (it was what inspired me to get new car mats).

I obviously like the 335 over G37, but I only say obviously because I own a 335. If I didn't like it better, I'd own a G37. I personally believe that the differences between the two are being pretty exaggerated here... The G handles just as well as my car does imo, but I feel like the 335 FEELS better, more natural doing it. I like the way my steering feels, stiff and precise... my brother prefers his steering... effortless. This is a subjective issue imo.

The only place I can honestly say the 335i clearly trumps the G37, is the around-town torque. The car feels fast without having to rev it up, the G37 needs to push the RPMs to get that feel.

Other than that, I would say the G37 is certainly a nice upgrade to the 328.
