Supercharger, on the track... in the heat...

Finally got my M3 to the track since adding the supercharger and big brake kit. One of the big questions I had before adding the supercharger was... "how will it handle the track?" - and I got mixed responses. Some said it's fine, some said problematic. I bought my M3 as a weekend/track car... and I when I say weekend, I mean when I'm bored, it's not my daily driver and I rarely take it out on the weekends... I bought it for the track.

Yesterday, I finally got it out there and it was HOT. 90 degree plus Florida heat. And I ran it as hard as I could. The temps maintained shockingly low, not much more than cruising at 80 down the highway. I put a beating on the brakes, gunned it as hard as it'll go out of the turns, and it just kept pulling. Session after session, the temps just never spiked. It pulled and pulled until I had enough and brought it into the pits.

Gear to gear, the tires were being punished, they wanted to break lose... intense.

At no point did it ever change it's attitude, lose it's steam, overheat, or anything else. Just FAST. And effing fun.

Obviously, I can only speak for the brand of supercharger I went with... but if you are concerned about supercharging and tracking... don't be. Wow, was that fun!

Thanks Mike. It shifts great with the paddles, no slipping. But when shifting in automatic mode, gets slipping on downshifts. I don't get it

Nope, it's straight up level 2 supercharger. Nothing else modified or added (and full Dinan exhaust including X-Pipe).

A couple AA guys were at the track, actually. Fun to see them, and they weren't surprised how well my car was doing
