That post is from 2009, the current DriverPacks are engineered to be much more heavy duty than previous versions.

I got it installed today, but the pathway light doesn't work anymore. Is this normal?

The AIBs have no bearing on pathway lighting. Check your settings in iDrive in SETTINGS>LIGHTING to see if the option is still checked.

I have the Angel iBright 3.0's installed on my car. I agree that the quality of the parts are very high, fits precisely, matches the Bi-Xenon headlights, they run cool and has uniform light distribution between the two rings.

But, I think they could do with brighter LEDs so they are more pronounced in daylight/sunlight - get closer to the LCI LED Rings on the 2011 E9X non-M cars, new 5 & 6 series.

Because of the positives mentioned above, I am not looking to switch to another solution, but I am waiting for a future version of the Angel iBrights that are brighter to upgrade. The product spec of the 4.0 doesn't state that it is brighter than the previous version, so I assume it is not, unless someone has done a comparison and can confirm that they are actually brighter than the 3.0.

You sure you mean pathway lighting? Pathway lighting is when you hit the high beam stalk after turning the car off and it activates the headlights for the configured amount of time to light the pathway.

I would guess you are talking about the ambient lighting? The rings that light up in the headlights and the door handles and tails when you unlock the car? Makes sure the light switch is in the auto setting (far left).

However, the car will disable the ambient lighting if you do too many locks and unlocks in a specific period of time. You'll have to turn the car on and off to reset the counter IIRC. This happened to me when I was installing my LUX and I though the same thing - oh shit I broke something! ; )

Ok installed them late last night, here are the results.

1) 100% better than the nasty yellow stock ones.
2) Look great at night/dusk/shaded areas- color matches the stock HIDs.
3) One very good thing is that both the inside and outside Halos are both lit with the same intensity.
3) In direct sun (brightest possible) they are not very bright and kind of fade out. They are still visible however.

I was very happy with this product so far, easy to install and quality looks good. I can not emphasize enough how much better this is than the stock ones. I absolutely hated them.

Pics: Sorry only have my cell phone right now for pics.
In very bright sunlight (need sunglasses)

Very Bright in some shade

nicely stated. I have the V3.0 and will consider upgrading to V4.0 if there is clearly a big difference. Yes, at night or in the shadows the lights are gonna look bad ass, but its in the day where we would really like to see brighter difference. Here are my V3.0 daytime shots.
