Interior Lights - Change
Hey
So anyone have success in changing their interior lights, and if so what bulbs did you buy and where? I want to change them out to xenon or led, but am not sure even where to start. Any idea's and or pictures would be greatly appreciated... Thanks to all. |

I used Bimmian, they are great, but some people on the e90post said its not that good and will cause overheat/burnbulb prob etc.

I replaced the puddle lights using JleviSW LED bulbs....looks nice. But if going with LED bulbs remember that they don't fade a nicely as halogens.

Used the kit from Jlevisw (same as Bimian, I think). I just got the "standard" Xenon kit. Looks are much improved, yellow->white, brightness is a bit worse. Also my kit was missing the tiny bulbs that light the rear footwell areas on the trannmission tunnel. Wrote to Jlevisw but have not heard back. All in all a good mod.
Be careful taking the light covers off, many are tricky and you can break stuff easily. |

Anyone got pics of their interiors with the new lights?
I have not seen any and just want to make sure its something I want to take on. Also, those from Bimmian, are they ok with fading? |

note last pic - i have the bimmian - and its true.. they dont fade in and out as well.. a little notchy.. and sometimes they just turn off instead of fading. But i still like them better than stock. i had the standard xenon bulbs in my e46 and they faded out well. the LEDs are a little whiter.. but they have an occasional fade issue. Not worth switching back IMO tho.. |

We carry the Bimmian kit which is offered in standard filament, standard LED and high output. The high outputs provide a great upgrade in color and output and is what I recommend. They are also now shipping with the rear console lights for the E92.

These do fade in an out like the stock lights but are not quite as smooth as the stock incandescent bulbs because of the nature of the LEDs. However, the difference is pretty small.
