Its summer time and a batman movie. Kids are going to want to see it. Regarding the 6 yr old.. Im not saying her parents were wrong to bring her at all. Would I have? No but everyone makes their own decisions.

A 6 year old doesn't have the mental capacity to understand anything past he's a super hero. All the child could do is stare at the screen and watch the explosions. It was bad parenting and if they wanted to see the movie that bad, they could've planned to have the child looked after. Not even mentioning they brought them to a midnight showing that wouldn't end until 3 am. I won't be terribly strict as a father, but it's just common sense that the children shouldn't have been there.

Not to mention the amount of people killed in the movie, not that anything was very graphic but not much was left to the imagination... not appropriate for a child.

They may argue Temporary Insanity. One can lose his/her mind during a situation and after show no signs of psychological irregularity. I doubt that will stick. I see life without parole in the future. I think his life prior may actually save his own.

They said he admitted to planning on going to kill his coworker. I find it very hard to believe anyone would admit something that hasn't happened for the hell of it. Sounds sensationalized to me.

I believe the insane plea is so that the death penalty can't be an option for a sentence.

Did anybody see the court appearance today? He was clearly drugged on something, except he has been in jail for 3 days, so that is strange, no? He wasn't acting and even somebody going through a total mental collapse doesn't look the way he did. Almost looked like he was hallucinating

Sad to think of the huge amounts of tax payer's money we are about to waste on this creature. Its clear what he did and its very clear what he deserves.

He will be in the court system for 5 years before anything is done.

Sad but you speak the truth. The guy probably didn't even know he was in a court room by the looks of it...I read that the police found a batman mask at his place.

Save the tax payor's $$, execute the f!cker.

Like the shooting in LA where the 2 guys who made their own body armor cause laws to be past to make it very hard for people to buy personal body armor only the police are allow to have it now.

Kind of surprise they never outlawed propane canisters after Columbine, since those kids made bombs out of them.
Ahh, I was wondering how he get back in through the side door.

More copycats:

http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/lo...499426.html?dr

A moviegoer confronted Michael William Borboa – who was carrying a backpack – which led to about 50 people fleeing the theater, the AP reported.

A 49-year-old man allegedly carried a loaded gun into his backpack into a recent showing of the latest Batman movie in Maine, State Police said.

A 27-year-old man in Arizona was arrested Friday on suspicion of disorderly conduct and threatening and intimidating after witnesses say he appeared drunk and was acting strangely during a showing of “The Dark Knight Rises,” according to the Associated Press.
