Neez replacement finally on the car!
Few quick pics outside my friend's bodyshop. I wish I can remove my stupid stainless steel rim protector, it's really distracting. But so far I'm stumped, I tried floss/fishing line/nylon/plastic wedge pair with heat gun - no dice.
Quick PS of how they WOULD have looked if I got them off(courtesy of dimsum)

Thanks guys, can someone recommend me someone who's perhaps dealt with this before? I'm quite annoyed at how distracting they look.
I think I'm gonna sneak in a 5mm spacer in the rear, but worried about all the talk about vibration.

I'm relatively sure you can NOT remove the rim protector with tires on the rims! Not sure if that's how you were attempting to do it, but it sounded like that!

BBS advertised that they are removable without having to remove the tires. ThBut I think you're right, if they were off it might be easier.

Ben, they are by far the nicest rims for our car. But I'm torn between whether or not the rim protectors suit it...or not. I'm gonna side with the "not" but with or without, FANTASTIC!!!

Thanks guys! I'm pretty much sided with the "not" after I saw the photoshop. It was pretty much the look I had in mind when I started ordering my brakes and these wheels. That said, I will be ordering a replacement but prepped and painted in the same finish as the wheel. Despite my good track record with wheels(knock on wood), it's a peace of mind I'd like to have.
