Frozen gray (grey in the uk!) vinyl wrap.

Looking to get the e92 m3 wrapped in frozen gray/ grey in the uk. Most samples I have seen don't seem to be close so far.

I have seen hexis gray matte in the us, but once again this looks matte. I thought fg should be matte but have a sparkle to it? ( hence the frozen bit)

Anyone found a vinyl close to frozen gray? Is hexis a good choice? Happy to import from the us.

Thanks for your input.

I'm not familiar with hexis, but the 'sparkle' of frozen gray comes from the metallic paint. The 'frozen' is in reference to the clear coat layer which gives the car it's frosted appearance. Based on that, I imagine you'll have a hard time finding a vinyl which can match the depth of the frozen paint.

I did wonder this. But you would think a vinyl could replicate this. I have seen some matt finishes with sparkle ( one called matte aluminium) but not in the right colour.

Closest is matte gray from 3M. If you already have space grey you can wrap it in Xpel stealth film or 3M matte PPF which gives it a satin finish really close to frozen gray..

Ramirez330- is this colour close to oem? Does it shine like a satin?

If you used the same Xpel stealth or 3M matte ppf for jet black would it make the jet black more frozen black?

Yes. Order a sample or go to a PPF installer and have them put a sample on your car and see for yourself.
