At the karting meet somebody was telling me about a good/cheap dyne shop in the LA area. Anyone remember or have a suggestion? Got a buddy that needs a tuning session.

I've never tried it personally but I've heard good things about it. I believe the other vendors detailedimage and detaildomain carry the ONR (optimum no rinse) product and supposedly they work great. I personally am hesitant to try the product though but I probably should give it a go. Especially since I have a jet black car, I'd be worried that I won't rinse the mitt often enough in between sections of the car..especially if the car is filthy. It's like the baceteria hand sanitizers. I know it's supposed to kill 99.9 percent of the germs but I still wouldnt lick my fingers while eating some wingstop nom nom nom.
Hmm... It makes sense, but I'm not fully convinced. It seems kind of pointless because it requires almost as much work as washing your car the traditional way.

How can a wheel weigh less than a pound? That doesn't even make sense lol.

idk dude he said its made from carbon fiber and showed the the pic. its was the rim not the whole wheel.
it was a special make for the M1S. he also said that he wouldnt trust the rim. lol and that if Leno goes over a big enough rock on the street or a dip it could crack the rim... just sayin what he told me. they dont allow them to take any pics of the M1S. he is under 24 hour surveillance with that car.

It going to Jay? He buys a lot of concept and one-of cars.
I'm guessing it this:

ITS CALLED A 1M SERIES COUPE!!!! It's not an M1 nor have I ever heard of such a car by the name of a 1MS : and remember I spend a lot more time on 1addicts than anyone else here lol. If there is a 1MS it has to be a one off like that M3 pickup. Or if it's for jay then I get it

yeah to be honest im not convinced either haha. maybe if it was only slightly dirty and had a couple layers of wax on the car would I feel comfortable trying it out but it still lacks the satisfying feeling of spraying down the car with water and using a foam gun to soak the entire car before starting the wash.

Ok, so there is a big diff between a 1M and a M1

1M

M1

M1 Homage Concept

So the facts.

- The 1M does not come in S trim, nor are any of the body panels CF.
- The M1 did not come in S trim nor was CF used for that car back then.
- Neither the M1 or 1M come with CF wheels.
- The only CF wheels BMW ever made were the ones below, and they were only for this very special M8
- Other than BMW models with the "is" delineation, BMW does not use "s" for any of their model lines. Especially the current cars.

Not sure what your friend is smoking down at the port, but I think hes feeding you a bunch of bull shit. You also said he showed you a picture of the wheel, but that he couldn't take pictures as the car is under 24 hour surveillance?

If this car really is going to Jay, I think it would be one of the very few, 3 I think, M1 Homage Conepts made. That car did have extensive CF body panels, but not CF wheels from what I know.

Just have to add this -

RIZ - You just cant post random bull shit like that, with no pictures, and no real info to back it up. I wish you would go make a post in the general M# section with what you said. LOL Get ready to get Flammed to another universe.

People here know way more than the average BMW owner, and more than the dealers most of the time.

Also, no consumer cars are picked up at the port. Even ED cars have to go to a dealer for pickup.

Not 1 part of what you said makes any sense? hehe

And I'm not trying to bash you, its just reality.

Most of us spend more time reading and researching random BMW information on the web than we spend with our own families im sure . We know all the dirt so not to bash on you but posting random stuff your friend says makes you sound a tad ignorant man. Plus my brother-in-law works down at the port also. He would let me know if such a car went through, not that he gets his hand on every car...

Sorry dude.... rock on though!

I don't spend countless hours on the web trying to finf out certain things about cars. All the questions I have I post on here and usually get an answer. why would I search when I have people that can tell me from there own experience...
