981 has an improved PDK and more civilised ride (well, it could be a bad point) Cannot go wrong with either 987.2 R or 981 S. |

It is a very nice car, but way overpriced IMO. I never drove cayman before, but i did drive against them several times on the track and was not impressed by their performance.

Awesome choice. One member hit the nail on the head when he said "you don't need to drive like a maniac to have fun in the cayman." It really is that enjoyable at any speed coming from a guy who previously had a 987 S Cayman and 997.1 911 S.

I know it should not matter but psychological I just can't get over driving an entry level Porsche. Even though its a better car than the m3. Would only go 991 S or gt3

i know what you mean..but tbh, to 90% of people, they won't even know the difference between a cayman s or a gt3. the real car guys are the ones who can differentiate. i will probably keep this car for a long time, i may even make it into a track car..my next car will be a GT3/991TT or an R36 GTR

Its funny that you meantion that about Audi.
I had a similar experience with them when I asked about the RS5. They didn't pay too much attention to me and I was actually set on getting that car. They make it seem like they sell Ferraris at time smh.. |

PORSCHE! Go for it. The E92 won't be around for too long so if you are one of those guys who doesn't like having a 'last generation' car, i would go with the boxster...having said that, I still loved my m3! Quote:

OP, sorry to piggyback on your thread, but just want to let you know I could not pass up on the new Cayman S, and I bet plenty more M3 owner will jump ship soon, not that the Cayman is a better value, but that it is a nice departure from what they have been driving for a few years (the case with me).
Traded my 2010 E92 M3 on a Guards Red, Cayman S with PDK, sport chrono, PAS, PTV, infotainment nav, premium, etc. I'll miss the M3's top end, but this thing is not exactly slow either. Here's a couple quick pics: |

A great mod is to have your side intakes, mirror bottoms, rear valence and center console paint matched. I did this on a Boxster and it was really sharp and clean looking. Don't know if he's still around but check out bumperplugs.com. His prices are fair. I had a local shop with really good skills do mine. The pieces just snap off. The net is TONS less money than the Porsche option cost! Hey there's a reason Porsche is the most profitable car company in the world Last edited by Krockit1; 11-09-2013 at 06:45 AM.. |

Do it!!
Lol, I will definitely post some better ones when I get my hands on a decent camera. Definitely got some mods lined up, just making sure they have good reviews before I order everything. Hoping to get another 35-50RWHP out of this thing..I think it will be perfect then! I still don't think it will sound as good as my eisenmann race with an x-pipe on the old m
