Dinan

We had some nice pictures taken for our customers car while we installed a Dinan intake and Exhaust. Before the install the car was detailed and we made sure to get some nice pictures before it rolled outside into the chicago winter. I guess I should say lack of winter since it has not snowed yet! Anyways below are some that turned out looking good.

Thanks Guys! We actually just moved but we have been working on the shop everyday. Once we get it to where we like it will get some pictures up for a little tour.

Shop looks great

Is there any advantage using the MS Filter over the Dinan one provided with the kit?

Thanks for the shop complements. Someone would have to do some testing to see if their is a difference. From the looks of it they seem very similar.

Dinan filter has a part made out of metal (must have some sort of heatsoak??) also the dinan would rattle a bit on me while the MS would not...

This might be my mistake, is that the Dinan Filter? From the color I assumed it was MS but I now noticed it has the metal top like the Dinan?

Just confused did they change the color on them? Mine was Blue with my intake kit... Either way great setup that looks good under the hood

Does the Dinan filter included in the kit has the same shape/size as the OEM? BTW Dinan is using a K&N filter for their intake kit. What I don't know if it is the filter that K&N sells as a OEM replacement for the M3, or if it is a filter they manufacture specifically for the Dinan intake kit with different shape and size.

It was a direct replacement for mine, I didn't need the adapter. I cant recall what years need the adapter or not, I think it may be after 2010 and after...

Here's a picture of the filter that I got with mine..

Thanks for the info. So in theory one can use other manufacturers filters (AA, MS, etc) with the Dinan intake with or without adapter depending on MY. Good to know.

Good eye, the color of the filter is different because it was dirty before and we used the K&N filter cleaner which turned it the red color.
