Just back from Munich - Lots of Pics

Got back from Munich last week, but just now getting around to posting some pics. Experience at the Welt was 2nd to none. This was my first ED and am already looking forward to future trips.

Had a bit of an adventure though towards the end of our trip - driving back to Munich from Salzburg on A8, I got pulled over by Polizei. Turned out they were just making sure I didn't steal the car. But then the real adventure began - getting back onto A8, the car stalled - quickly popped the clutch and I was on my way. but another 50km or so down the road - car stalled again - was probably going about 100mph. managed to safely pull onto the shoulder. eventually got towed to Resenheim - and the car remains there. Still not exactly sure what is wrong. Definitely an adventure. I will update the thread when I hear what's wrong with the car.

Congrats! Love the color. That sucks about the stalling but surely they'll get it figured out.

Keep us posted on what you hear about the car...Did you feel any unusual symptoms prior to the stalling?

i noticed no strange symptoms. In fact, when it stalled the 2nd time, I didn't even realize it right away - then I looked at the tach.

Sorry to hear about the car. Other than that it looked like you had fun. Did you enjoy Salzburg?

What were you doing to get pulled over by the Polizei I have seen only a handful on the road over the last 2.5 years, and normally only when a crash has happend?

Salzburg was nice. we were only there a few hours though. regarding the polizei - honestly, I have no idea what i was doing. i really have to assume they were just making sure i didn't steal the car. they checked all my paperwork and then checked the VIN in 3 different places on the car.

This is interlagos blue right?? I ordered my E90 late Feb and its going to go into production with in the next 10 days or so. I ordered interlagos blue but today I saw an E46 Interlagos blue and that had a lot of purple overtones in it. Its making me a little nervous now about the purple tones.

So,. How purple is interlagos in reality, and did you regret any.. on looking at the color the first time. Last question, if given a chance again, would you order Interlagis blue again. I love interlagos but some times in bright sunlight I think it looks really purple.

My M5 was Interlagos. I liked the car - but did find it to be too purple.

In broad daylight I found it to be the most blue / non-purple. I loved the pics of my car when it was sunny. I liked my car the least on overcast days as the purple really came through when the light was soft / diffuse. I don't think I kept any pics under those conditions.


I am not trying to freak you out - just telling you like it is. There's a lot of purple in Interlagos at times...and other times it's more of a gorgeous blue.

Yes, interlagos blue. There are definitely purple tones in the color, depending on the lighting situation. I love the color. Absolutely no regrets and yes, I'd order the color again in the future.

Unreal - hope they sort out exactly what's caused the failure.

And for the LOVE! WTF is up with every driver of every rollback truck apparently not just in the USA, but the world! Roll. It. BACK!!!! Saving the 30 seconds to extend the ramp further isn't really worth dragging the front and rear bumpers plus exhaust tips on every load up of any car lower than a Yukon is it?!?!?

If you're ever towed, just stop them and tell them to extend it further. First. Idiots......
