So, per VACs website: for $13,899 you get the VF620 Supercharger System:
-V3/SC trim intercooled supercharger system (Air-to-Water intercooled). Everything needed is included, as well as a custom ECU flash for your factory computer. An exotic killer!!! Along with supporting mods this same kit has run a 10.6 second Qt/Mile!
Expect power in the 550whp range on 91 octane (AKI) pump gas along with a free flow exhaust, more power with higher octane fuel is possible.

Now, for a little more, you can have the either AA Stg 2 or ESS VTs-650, each which puts down approx mid 500s whp on 93 (I believe), on meth Now, the numbers I saw for the AA and ESS kits were mid 11s...I think; but VAC had a nice run of 11.11. I think Akash also had a low 11s run with his AA stg2. Would tires and conditions make that big of a difference. Possibly. Just curious as I have had my eye on both the ESS and AA kits. Now this VAC comes into the pic with their VF kits...WTF! Decisions.....

Thanks guys! Klevis is looking at this thread...he deserves the kudos. Nothing changed on the car from the 11.11 to 10.69. The driver got better

Tires make a huge difference when drag racing, its all about the launch really.

We want to stay away from meth with this car. We love how simple yet effective the VF kit is. This is just the beginning...trust me

Sure.

APEX ARC-8 18x10 +25mm.
12mm VAC spacer.
MT ET Street 265/40/18

Wheels and spacers are in stock. Tires are a day away.

I'm going to offer a package deal in a few days. I honestly think this is the perfect setup for the E9x M3 - we aren't even close to overpowering these tires.

Not sure what this post has to do with me offering a wheel/tire drag package

“like that?” - text received at 12:39 PM EST, 12.10 .2011.

Honestly, I didn’t even look.

My girlfriend and I were enjoying bagels from Leo’s while sitting on Hanover Square in Manhattan when these texts came through. A few thousand people dressed as santa claus, santa’s helpers and elves (some sexy, most not) were keeping us entertained, so I chose to ignore the text and carry on with my fabulous cinnamon raisin bagel. Santacon, for those wondering.

After missing two calls along with the texts, I finally look to my phone knowing that I must have missed something major. Yep, I did.

My hired gun was at Atco Raceway, looking to beat his standing ¼ mile world record for all boost E9x M3s that he ran a few weeks ago at Cecil County Dragway.

No nitrous
No meth
Stock engine
93 octane fuel
DOT approved street legal tires
Atco Raceway, Atco NJ

2008 M3
DCT
VF Engineering VF620 Supercharger Kit
VAC by Fabspeed catless exhaust
APEX 18x10 ARC-8 rear wheels
Mickey Thompson ET Streets (DOT Approved - street legal!)
ar Design Line Lock
No other mods.

This VF-Engineering VF620 kit is the real deal. This is a stock kit...nothing more. In addition to some serious whooping at the drag strip, we hammered it for many many sessions on Lightning and Thunderbolt at NJMP. Please PM me when you are ready to buy.

PS. Our hired gun is not a race car driver - it's Klevis Prifti, our Performance Center Manager. Not bad for his 2nd time at the drag strip Next season is going to be crazy!

PPS. Records are made to be broken. Lets go boys and girls ;-)

pics from Atco:

With almost 130mph in the 1/4 mile you should be knocking on the door of low 10s soon. Outstanding job...

Who said you can't drag race M3s...

Dave

FWIW, ESS kits DO NOT come with Meth, ESS does not sell their kits with a Meth option, that is up to the owner of the kit. Besides myself, I think only one other guy actually runs it. With Meth my kit made 586whp, without meth some cars have hit that as well.

The guys at VAC are the only one's to do this right with FI, no one else has, running at ATCO this time around was a good/smart move as well.

As Mike pointed out tires are huge and it's all about the launch, I would add that it's all about the conditions / DA as well, your car will make more power, run quicker and trap higher in negative DA, or near sea level, than positive.

It's an incredible accomplishment, so many people have doubted the E9x as a drag car, capable of good times, good to see this further debunks that myth.

Wow, wow, wow!!! I would kill for a 60' like that..... Great job and amazing that this is just a bolt on kit and DRs, plain and simple. If my memory serves me right, now there are two E9X in the 10's, yours being the fastest.
