I personally noticed a long time ago that once the front of my car gets road rashed by rocks, I no longer care for it as much. This is why I have a clear bra on all of my cars. I like to drive them and love to look at them in my garage as well. It's a pride thing for me to enjoy the car in all its beauty. I for one say yes to a clear bra! Plus, I have as many as 38k miles on the RR and there is not one chip on the bra or paint.

Ok so the question becomes what to do once you have the chips, Fill them in with bmw alphine white touch up paint to avoid rust or leave them alone?

Your bumper and fenders are made of plastic, and your hood is aluminum. Both of which will not rust.
