Quick question: anyone know what this faux button is?
It's located below the fan control buttons, and I've noticed it also exists on the newer models (I found one in a 2015 x3 as well).
Is there any use of this button/sensor? Anyone know exactly what it is? |

I think it's the cabin temperature sensor.
EDIT: Yep, that's what this fascinating document called the Owner's Manual says. :-p

You didn't know you can turn the inside of your M3 into an igloo by turning the temp down to 22F or -5C? Thought everyone checked that option.

Exactly my thoughts. There isn't a "synch" or "all" button so that I can move just one and they both adjust together. Kind of a PITA to always adjust both. If there is a way to do it...I'm right there in tardville with ya b/c I haven't figured it out yet...

yeah i don't have an "all" button there. I have that "rest" button which is supposed to run the heat element after car is shut or some useless thing for most of us lol
