Do the newer M3's (2011-2013?) use LEDs in the Side Emblems?
So I noticed some water condensation in my side emblems today.
They look a bit faded too. I see a ton of aftermarket options, but would rather stick to OEM if possible. Do the newer M3's use LED's in the side emblems? Would they fit an older E92 M3 (2008)? |

I assume you're talking about the turn signals in the fender vents. I believe they're all the same from 2008-2013. Sedan and vert use the same part as the coupe, too.

Some pointers for people looking to replace / fix their side markers:
A) To remove, the "tape" method really works. Took me about 30 seconds to pull each of the markers out using nice strong packing tape. B) In my case, all I wanted to do was get the water out of the actual "light". There was a tiny crack in it, and I guess from the rain and washing the car, some water had gotten in there. Looked quite nasty. Unfortunatly there is no way to open the actual light fixture. I tried, and broke bits off each of the sides. Its sealed shut. So I have to order a new one. The part number for JUST the light is: 63 13 7 838 540 In my case thats what I ordered. Over here in Europe the part was about 30 USD. Probably cheaper for you floks over in NA. |
