Just bored and figured i would practice some of my arabic. phonetics are way off just fyi.. but if you can speak arabic you should be able to get the idea..

ill tell you if some one said 3 months ago i would be able to talk a little arabic i would have said they were crazy....

I took a vocal test last week and i got a 1 1 which means i can function in normal basic conversation with arabic... its redonkulous....

I have rosetta stone but it takes a lot longer normally... i have a six month course and it is 5 hours a day monday through friday and 4 hours extra speaking on saturday morning. We take a test that gauges our aptitude to learn a language, unfortunately i was a category 4 which means i was going to learn arabic or chinese basically. If you are looking for some help i may be able to set you up with some of the rosetta stone discs... and give you some guidance on where to start. rosetta stone will help you learn words and understand but there is much more to the basics that you wont get from the program. Like the alphabet... check it out on youtube its called the arabic alphabet song.... just let me know...

They need to replace foreign language teachers with rosetta stone, took 3 years of french and basically learned nothing.

bro, took french for 8 years and still can't speak, read, or write it lol....im in a french province too

I have been working really hard to pick it up.... im only to the point of opening bank accounts and getting a hotel room and ordering a meal... daily routine, describe things and places, talk about yourself and family, crudely translate news articles... We start studying parts of cars next week....

i am hoping to get a 1+ 1+ on my test which means i can survive in society with a basic grasp of the language..... 3 3 is native speaker
