I picked up an F82 exhaust off a forum member for free, but the first issue I see is that the tips are spaced out wider than the E9X. My plan was to transfer just the electronic valve control section and manually turn the valves with a tool...but that's a little annoying to do. I'll continue to play with the idea but don't think anything is going to come out of it since I don't know how to weld.

I did the OEM exhaust mod and also welded an leak shut. Unfortunately my welds where half assed and some of them cracked back open. From that day my car started having an jumpy idle on cold start heat cycle AND if moderately accelerated ( 2.gear ) developed an life and ear threating crackle-pop-shoot sound......yep, my M crackles and pops like the 45 AMG *LOL*

Need to get it rewelded, this time with a little bit more motivation

So yeah, fucking around with by company developed exhaust systems for certain models can probably end up in an disaster...
