Anyone else w/an aftermarket exhaust and the "M" button notice that...

....when you hit the M button and do nothing else, the exhaust gets a significantly louder?

You can hear on @ :08 when I pressed the button and the exhaust got noticeably louder, and then I pressed it again and it went back to what I'd call normal. I noticed it first when going under an overpass earlier today and replicated it later tonight to make sure it wasn't just my imagination.

What exhaust do you have? Apparently I need to get that one!

Or it could just be psychological...

At idle? If while under load, that's just a change in throttle opening, which of course at a given level of pedal depression, will result in a louder sound.

Hmmmmmmmm....after I publish the video when it finishes rendering it will be apparent:
a) that it would appear you need to get another exhaust, as well as
b) you should stop talking about things of which you know nothing about

Haha yea, just increased throttle. Another 20% increase throttle response will make exhaust louder lol.

As I said, throttle opening (as a %) at a given pedal depression. This is what the ///M button changes. The response is a function of throttle opening.

It's the throttle opening more at the same pedal position. Sport throttle does this when programmed into M drive.

I agree that it is the throttle response. Try toggling the M button while in cruise control. If nothing happens then it is the throttle.
