Need help deciding on reflectors!!

Hey gang,

I want to change the ugly orange reflectors on my car and can't decide if I want smoked or clear.

Both look really good to me. Can you give me some thoughts?

Car is Space Grey.

Thanks!

Hey Nick,

You received my input but I like the clear if the car is stock but since you are doing the black out theme, I think smoked is a better choice.

See here's the thing, I would go painted but I think the car looks off with the painted reflectors on it. It looks like either a hole was patched up with a piece of plastic or your trying to hide something underneath.

With the clear or smoked reflector at least it looks like they were meant to be there instead of just some random piece of plastic covering.

That's just my opinion.

Smoked for SG. I agree that the painted ones look a little off.

smoked all the way for space gray. i will try to snap some pics with my good camera tomorrow. all i have is crappy quality iphone pics right now.

painted reflectors are fugly. like you are trying to hide something. smoked add to the "mean" look of space gray that has matte black grilles, matte black side vents, black/silver cf roundels.

when i get the pics up, you'll agree.

I can't wait to see those pics. I'm so torn on this.

I thought about clear too but since I'm going for the stealth/blackout theme I thought the maybe smoked would be a nice touch.

+1 on they do look off. Do you think the clear would look good on alpine white?

That works really well b/c of the blackout theme on your car.

I definitely think the clear would look good on AW because it is a light colour. Even if you have a blackout theme, the clear will blend in well with the white and the best part is, since it is not painted it will actually be functional.

I agree on the painted looking stuck on. The poor mans euro bumper comment made me laugh. I guess you could look at it like that. I just think it doesn't belong there.

The smoked on your car almost looks like it has a bit of orange in the actual reflector. Did you tint it or did you buy a smoked replacement?
