Did any of the M3's get booted for excess noise? Understand that it was a 105db limit. I presume there were some catless M3's there (over 120) but were lifting.

Good times.

I didn't hear of anyone getting booted for sound but you never know as there was some loud cars out there (mostly full on track cars).

There was only like 3 or 4 E9X M3's with one being stock. Mine and Crimsons have the OEM mod and we never had a problem all day.

Nice video Crimson, looks you were able to get behind me at around the 9:30 min mark of the video. Did you get a good lap time by chasing the white GT3 rabbit? Man, I need to work on my lines at LS, I missed a bunch of apexes. That focker in the black ferrari was missing me off by not letting me pass...there were moments when I wanted to blow by him in the turns because I couldn't pass him in the str8s due to us having equally fast cars.

You and Derek should come out to Chuckwalla either next weekend or the weekend of Oct 19/20th or maybe even Buttonwillow on Sunday (I hear it going to be a sorta empty day on the track).

Looking good!

My trans was on the fritz during that session. Wouldn't let me shift when I told it too.

Another time I downshifted then it up shifted itself almost immediately.

It was fine all other sessions.

I guess just buggy that session.

It wasn't overheating, or rather I never got a warning.

I guess it was just a fluke.

Typicall 105db limit means kind of "ok" to noise. I ran a couple of my cars with fully straight pipes which must be way louder than 110db, never had problem.

Maybe the few 105db days are when the noise police takes a day off?

That's what I thought too. In fact, they have quite a lot of 105db track days this year, maybe the county needs $$?

BTW, were you in the white 997.2 GT3? I was in purple for the first session, that freaking Fiat was blocking everyone, so I passed him without point-by but I got some complaints at the download meeting then I got kicked out from Purple. LOL.

Some of those cars (especially in the Red & Green group) sounds a bit louder than 105db to me. I wonder if they charge more for the 105db days versus the 90db/92db days???

Yeah, I was in the white GT3. Which car were you driving? Based upon your times in your signature you should have been in the Black or Green group. I was hoping to run a sub 1:45 in my 4th session but the fiat threw the block on me. I was thinking of asking to be moved up to the Black group since I one of the fastest in the Purple group but I had a 5 hour drive down to OC so I wanted to leave earlier. I was eating him alive in the corners (where I probably could have passed him) but on the str8s he would gun it and I could only keep up with him. Worse than those big ego corvette and viper guys.

I'm gonna head up to BW on Sunday and then Chuckwalla next weekend...you should come out.

I was driving the flat grey lambo that day, didn't bring my M3. I was in red group for the entire day. After they kicked me out of Purple, I also went to black and green for a couple of sessions.
I will go this sunday most likely. Not sure which car to bring yet but I will go. I will come by and say hi when I see you.
