Replica CF BMW Performance Wing

Hey all,

Been away from the forums since the summer pretty much and I'm out of the loop. Has anyone of the aftermarket companies made a CF Performance Wing?

Just curious..

Thanks,
Nick

That´s a gurney - not a wing.
This is a wing:

Did you end up mounting that to our GT Carbon trunk on your car?

No, the OEM trunk will receive the wing in combination with the Performance gurney. The CF would not be able to handle the forces of the small wing mounting points.

hmmm just like their front splitters... an uglier & inferior product that is more expensive... Makes sense

I think I saw a replica from jl motoring. I would love to see what this spoiler looks like painted on an AW car. If anyone has seen this, please post..

I can't imagine that the replica will be that much cheaper. Tischer already sells for $460 ..I'd gladly pay that $100 or so extra for guaranteed fitment.

Just saw the replica on JL Motoring website for $249.00. That's almost half the price of the OEM one through Tischer. What does the dealer charge? Anyone have the part number?

Ive seen the JL rep in person, I was ready to buy it, but I decided to go for the OEM. $460 (+betalink) installed by LTBMW. The fitment is brilliant. Peace of mind is secured.

The replica looks good in person? I couldn't really justify it at $299 (not 249).

Peace of mind is too close to the authentic (which has better resale anyways)

It looked ok, but the quality didnt match OEM. there were little imperfections in the CF. I had the opportunity to get it for even less than 250, and I chose to go with OEM. I couldnt be happier! OEM Fitment is unmatched.

It does look like the OEM one, but without the indentation in the front of the spoiler.. The side profile does look a little different, however. And at $500, its more expensive that OEM! OEM FTW!

I have the same color M3 as yours, can you post a pic of the spoiler on your car?

I'd go with the non replica. You can never match oem quality

Installed the OEM spoiler with beta link adhesive. It fits perfectly into place, which makes installation easy. Did OEM splitters too the 1x1 weave on both pieces is almost flawless. It's worth the extra $

I am pretty sure the OEM performance CF is 2x2 weave. The CF roof is 1x1.
