Last possible date to Euro Delivery E93 M3

I know they are cutting off production June/July for the E93's.

What around when the last orders for ED will be taken. And once you order Euro Delivery how long does it take before the car is ready to be picked up at the Welt.

The reason I am asking is because I am trying to go later in the year to hopefully catch some of Oktoberfest if at all possible.

Thanks!

I don't know the lead times these days, but I wouldn't expect to be able to do ED pickup much later than your car's production completion. I would be very surprised if you could get BMW to hold your car around until October.

Oktoberfest starts at the beginning of Sept

How long does the build take?

If you haven't ordered, I would strongly consider getting in contact with a good CA.

Allocations for M3s are scarce, even more so for ED spots...

I believe the June/July was a target date. However this can change based on supplier parts and other variables. If you are interested in the current model, as stated by The Tech, contact your CA. At this point, they don't have a feel for allocations beyond this month.

The end of production for e93 (convertible) has been stated on this site (Jason, I think) as being a couple of months after the end of production of the e92. The e92 is scheduled to end production in June of this year which means the e93 would end production in the early fall.

With regard to ED, I would suggest contacting this fellow: David ///M Aviles www.BMWDavid.com 202-262-2900
BMW Individual European Delivery Performance Center

He's seems to be a good guy, very knowledgeable about the M3 and, best of all, might provide you a good deal.

Best of luck.

I dont have a CA right now, I bought my last car in South NJ and I dont live down there anymore, I guess I could go back there but I would rather buy from a dealer in Northern NJ close to NYC where the car will be serviced.

Oktoberfest starts in late September and ends in October. It starts on Sep 21 this year.

I did my delivery on Sep 26 2011. My production date says 8/18. I assume that was the start date.

Also, I think there is a large chunk of time where the factory is shutdown around that timeframe.

It is possible to get your date set ahead of time. I would call a sales rep and start the process. I think I started mine and put down a deposit in March in order to make sure to get the date I wanted.

That is great info, I thought it was the 16th this year so 21st is a bit later. This is why I am starting now, if I have to put a deposit down in March, then I will do that. Good thing is I have time, 330 has been paid off for some time now I just want to do this right.

Ditto what was posted earlier about contacting David Aviles I'm in Texas and i have no regrets going with him. with the allocation issues if anybody can get you an ED before the production ends he can. He will also save you a sh*tload of money. He beat Golfrrs pricing on ED by a mile. PM me if you want more info. Regardless jump on it now as the clock is ticking. I'm headed to Munich tomorrow for my ED pickup!!!! Glad I didn't wait any longer.

Have an amazing journey Overlord! Feels like it's been one already. Take pics and I'll add them to bmwdavid.com and I'm sure the folks here would love to see one of the last 2013's built.

All the best- David

David,

Thanks for responding to my email. Will the last E93s be 2013's or will the later build ones be 2014s? I am assuming they will stay 2013 but just curious.

Scheduled for May ED. Been in contact with my SA since October last year, 2012. The M3 ED will now fall with dealer's allocations. We finalized the deal last week after my SA was able to get a February allocation. Even though my delivery date is on the last week of May. Most probably you can do the same.

Just got done signing for my car and the whole ED experience yesterday at the Welt. Not even driving it other than my victory lap in the Welt, paid the 75 Euros to have it flat bedded to the shippers. I'll post a few pics up later nothing people haven't seen before but it's a great feeling. If anybody can get you an M3 via ED at this point it's David. Good Luck with that. Last of the NA V8s!!!!!
