Let's start with replacing this part and see if we still get a problem after.

Only one i had was when i was buying my 2001 M3. Ordered it without driving one because there were none in Tampa. The one i got was the 4th one in the city. When i picked it up i asked what the sport button did and he proceeded to tell me that it lowered and firmed up the suspension. Reeaallllllllyyyyyyyyyy............ I didn't know what it did at the time, but i knew it didn't do that!

The guy i bought my last 3 cars with is much cooler. If i would have asked him he would say, "i haven't got a clue, but i know who will know the asnswer, let me call him." <--Like that guy.

When I bought my 135 with 27K miles from the dealership, they offered me that "special clear coating" that keeps the car shiny forever. I said NO, they almost wouldn't take no for an answer.

After getting home and going over the paperwork, the car already had that "special clear coat" applied. I assume they try to sell it to everyone.

When we bought our 2011 Ford Edge Sport i noticed it didnt say anything about the towing capacity. It comes with stock 22" rims with low profile sport tires. The lower model Limited edition says it can tow up to 3000kg or something with a engine that has less power then the Sport model.

I asked the salesman why there was no towing package with the Sport model and he told be the Sport Edge cannot tow because it has low profile tires and big rims. I laughed at him and told him ive seen guys in Escalade's tow $80,000 boats with 24" rims and rubber band tires with no issues.

Idiots.

That's not so far-fetched. A lot of higher-performance tires don't have a very high load capacity.

lol @ some of these. A friend of mines bought a TT and I think not so long later there was some noise under the car the dealer said the entire exhaust system was f'd up and wanted 2k or something to fix it. Turned out it was just a loose bracket.

Took in my GX470 to the Lexus dealer when I was on business because it was making mechanical groaning noise. I knew what it was (transfer case) but they claimed it was breaks that were locked up. Well, transfer case exploded on the way home, they got to pay the bill for 200 miles of towing and a new transfer case because the breaks they replaced didn't fix that noise.

Subscribed lol

Weatherford BMW refused to negotiate down from 37,000 for an E92 335 when I was shopping for mine because there was a premium on them since it's every mid-20 year old's dream car and they were the only ones selling real CPOs. She then told me she couldn't offer lower because of my age.

When I told them my quote for the 335 I have now in an attempt to negotiate she told me she looked up the vin and it wasn't a CPO, and that her "original offer still stood."

Needless to say, my money went to the other dealer the same day for a great deal

Another one i always hate is when you are looking at used cars and let say the car has 60,000km and is two years old; most people drive on average 20,000km/yr. I have had multiple salesman straight up lie and say 'oh most people drive 30,000km/yr so that not too many km for a two year old car. I am always like hell it is, that car has been across the country and back 10 times in the last two years to have that many km on it...

Salesman always make up stats to make that particular car seem like it hasnt been ragged on.

The run-in service on the 1M's has been a nightmare for a number of owners and I didn't want it to happen to me.

I over-prepared on the day of my service and found out my regular SA was out and that I would have to deal with an a$$hat SA instead. Full report is chronicled here:

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=630332

Fortunately, he seems to be the only one of his kind at that particular dealership.

Wasn't with the BMW, but dropped car off for service, then they tried to return it to me DEAD (car would not start). Service adviser tried to blame it on me for dropping it off with low gas and said it ran out. There was still a good 1/4 tank left and I needed new fuel pump.

Wasn't with my BMW, but dropped off my car and they tried to void my warranty for having an aftermarket INTAKE. Was there for an oil change.

Argued with them and received my car back damaged. So glad Pontiac is out of business.

Sat in a test drive with a friend that was looking for a new car, of course I pointed him to the E90. When we started driving, the car was making a terrible ticking noise and I asked what it was. He replied with "They all do it," and at the time I owned an E90.
