Fabspeed X-Pipe vs AA X-Pipe

Hey guys,
I'm looking into getting a an X-Pipe and wanted feedback from those who had either X-Pipe's or personnel knowledge and pro's con's between the two?

Fabspeed XPipe with Resonators verse Active Autowerke X-Pipe Gen 2
-Horsepower/Torque gains?
-Loudness/Drone?
-Any CEL?

Thanks!

comparable product.... both should come in right about the same on HP/torque. volume should be the same. AA claims to have new HFC's that don't give a CEL. Fabspeed claims no CEL too, but almost everyone has gotten one at one point or another. I have gotten a CEL twice with my Fabspeed, but it will clear itself after a few hundred miles. I think their price is a bit better than AA

I think you should go AA; I'm a fan of their V-band connection between the HFC's and the x-pipe.

I'll disagree with you on this one. In my experience V-bands leak less than slip-fits like the Fabspeed. Put it this way, Tial is making a GT35R turbo that is held together with V-band clamps; they wouldn't dare do that with a slip-fit due to the possibility of boost leak.

Isnīt the pipe diameter different on both? That alone should make for different power outputs?

I'm quite happy with the fit and finish of my catless AA x-pipe.

While your at the x-pipe......why not add a short shift kit if you think one would benefit you.

this will have to do with your choice of muffler.

I went with Encore, good HFC's. Only had one CEL, reset it and no problems. Good sound, excelleration. But not a fan of the clamp set up at the headers. had to use some exhaust seal to stop the air leaks. Fabspeed I think from what I've seen has a better fitting set up at the headers. Good luck!
