Fabspeed X-Pipe vs AA X-Pipe
Hey guys,
I'm looking into getting a an X-Pipe and wanted feedback from those who had either X-Pipe's or personnel knowledge and pro's con's between the two? Fabspeed XPipe with Resonators verse Active Autowerke X-Pipe Gen 2 -Horsepower/Torque gains? -Loudness/Drone? -Any CEL? Thanks! |

I think you should go AA; I'm a fan of their V-band connection between the HFC's and the x-pipe.

I'll disagree with you on this one. In my experience V-bands leak less than slip-fits like the Fabspeed. Put it this way, Tial is making a GT35R turbo that is held together with V-band clamps; they wouldn't dare do that with a slip-fit due to the possibility of boost leak.

Isnīt the pipe diameter different on both? That alone should make for different power outputs?

I'm quite happy with the fit and finish of my catless AA x-pipe.
While your at the x-pipe......why not add a short shift kit if you think one would benefit you.

I went with Encore, good HFC's. Only had one CEL, reset it and no problems. Good sound, excelleration. But not a fan of the clamp set up at the headers. had to use some exhaust seal to stop the air leaks. Fabspeed I think from what I've seen has a better fitting set up at the headers. Good luck!
