Get it silenced and get a dump valve put on so it can be quiet or fun

Something about the cop running to his motorcycle makes me laugh. I think biker cops look so ridiculous. Lol

I was once pulled over right after buying food with my gf. Just for my tints, and he made me wait 30 min until my food was cold. Most cop stories here are about bothersome badge holders...so don't sweat it.

Cheers

See, what you SHOULD have done, is to turn the engine off just before you passed him, and coasted by with NO sound then discretely turned off the street a few hundred yards (or however far you can coast) and then pretend you're doing something until he goes away...

I jest, I jest...

Turn off the engine? What's wrong w/ putting it in Neutral? (Assuming that it doesn't sound loud while in Neutral)

Not to the point of harassment and/or intimidation.

It's very easy for a disgruntled neighbor to say another neighbor did X,Y or Z. LE can't punish someone based on hearsay. The cop can be reprimanded, but that's highly unlikely. I say keep a low profile and consider a quieter exhaust. If LE keeps harassing, contact a lawyer. In the interim, keep a log book with a time/date of all events, so in the event you feel you're being harassed, you'll have proof of it in court.

The LEO didn't punish anyone based on heresay. Sure, a cop can be reprimanded when he does something wrong. In this case he did not. Cops can investigate based on neighbors complaints. This is not harassment.

I love these baseless posts about what cops can and can not do. I especially love reading about the aformentioned idiot who got pulled over with his grilfriend and his KFC food got cold; poor baby.

Yeah, keep a log book. Day one: Got pulled over today for having an illegal loud exhaust, turned engine off and coasted by the mean biker cop. He stopped me anyway. Day two: Got pulled over again by the same mean biker cop for speeding in a school zone. Day three: I was speeding in a parking lot and the same mean biker cop pulled me over. Day four: Posted on M3 post how mean that biker cop was. But, your Honor...

They don't have a sense of their speed relative to their immediate surroundings. It's a sensory retardation thing.

Do you have any speeding tickets? If no than what are the chances of a police officer pulling you over if you normally speed over 100 mph on the road... The chances are that it is another M3 driver that is driving like crazy...
3. Ignore the fix it ticket...
+1 and circumstancial evidence , probably spelled that wrong.

bummer, but if your exhaust is illegal there's not much you can do about that aspect of the bust. that being said, what the cop did was b.s. and you should try to fight it. as for the noise, heck i think my stock exhaust is too loud!

+1 90% of the drivers in my condo speed through the parking lot at 15-20mph. it really bugs me. and if they're following me driving "slowly" at 5-10 mph, they tail me. gotta love it.

I get tail-gated leaving my neighborhood even at 25mph. Sometimes I'll even go to 27 or so, and they still won't back off. F**kers. It makes engine braking to a stop in 1st gear very satisfying.

Oh yeah, I have the same issue in where I live. I don't give a shit though, I slow down even more if they tail gate.
