First Day of Winter washed my ///M Today :)

Hope the winter be mild like today (fat chance ~ still it's great to do this in Canada) took advantage and washed my 3 week old babe today. Naturally I always wash the wife's car too (our DD) I'm too old to sleep in the dog house Besides this time of year nights is no picnic out in the dog house.

Notice my winter wheel set (18 inch square on all four corners) fitted with Michelin tires to give the summer wheels and tires a rest (summer set photos in my garage).

I've included a photos of the wet look. (all photos from my iPhone, they are better then my camera).

EDIT ===> I will get spacers for these winter wheels since they are 18" x 8" 40 offset (same size each corner) I will not give our M3 a bad name

18 inch winter set square each corner, my sumer set is 19 inch and offset (photos in my 2012 M3 garage)

yes clean is nice, the dirt of course after a rain shows more on the LMB then on my former AW then I new that, love this colour.

PS to THE TECH My former 2011 M3 the AW/FR had the 19" Style OEM 220 M wheels ... my winter set is a replica NONE OEM 220 set 18" x 8" with 40 offset. Perhaps you miss-read that. Sorry.

Correct the 220 winter set is NOT an OEM set they are replicas I purchased them new from form someone that had purchased 2 sets and only needed one set since his GF left him. They don't look too bad I run them without spacers on my former Z4 ... adding spacers is a good point for the rears, I will check into this .... Thanks for the heads up.

Then again I won't be driving the M3 much in the winter time ... our DD has first call for this the M3 is allowed to rest Naturally winter rubber is better to have on the car during the cold months.

Looks great Rolf! ET20 all around? Also, let us know how the X-ice holds up this winter, I got WS60 myself and the X-ice on my girlfriends car but it's no M3.

Lucky you guys can still use the outdoor water pipes, ours get frozen all winter long.

The Michelin X ICE are great tires I've used them in the past. This set you see here I've used on my Z4 35i last winter. I do recommend the Michelin ICE not too noisy and they give good grip on the road.

The tires are 225/40R18 Michelin X ICE

PS ... Robmaster made a valid point, I had a closer look and I do need spacers in the rear ... looks funny otherwise and would give our nice ///M's a bad name I will get it done

Thanks ...

My winter wheels are 18x8 with 40 Offset, the wheels are NOT OEM wheels they are aftermarket replicas what spacers would you recommend here? Do you sell them? I'm running winter tires Michelin X ICE 225/40/R18 on them for all 4 corners.

Please let me know thanks in advance.

Nice car indeed but sorry to say it just looks odd in the rear with the wheels so tucked. A pair of 18mm spacers should take care of that!
