E93 M3 "Shadowline Trim" (No More Aluminum Trim!)

While I love my M3, I really hated the "chrome look" the aluminum trim around the top and windows gave to the car. Fortunately EAS (European Auto Source in Santa Ana, CA) offers a solution for this with a vinyl wrap that creates a "shadowline" look. Brandon at EAS did the work, and the result is fantastic! I'm very happy with how it turned out!

With the matte black trim the roof now looks much more like one piece with the top up. The obvious black "breaks" from the black rubber seals in the roof pieces are much less noticeable than with the aluminum trim. I think this really improves the car's lines and the overall look of the car. (This is how it should have come from the factory.)

Brandon and the entire EAS crew are both friendly (super nice folks) and professional, and their work is awesome!

Now I just need to do the front grill, side gills, and reflectors....yeah, I know, you're never done.

I didn't know the 08's came with chrome trim around the windows. The black looks much better...nice job.

Thanks! Yes, the 2008 verts came with this nasty stuff. Gone now!

Oh, I'm on it! Conservative (hopefully "not to dark pull you over") tint done all around. Also a one piece clear bra is done (no pieces, one single custom cut piece done by Vince at Omega Tint Werks in Pleasanton). Those are done and there in the photo set.

Vince, BTW, is a perfectionist and does wonderful work--he's a great guy as well! Lots of us Norcal guys have had him do work. (I was in SoCal on vacation and liked the work EAS had done on other cars so I paid them a visit....)

Let's see, there's the clutch spring, short shifter, other cosmetic stuff I've mentioned, air filter, pulley, tune, exhaust....the list just grows faster than the inflow of cash can keep up!

That's one of the BEST and a MUST mod for an E93. Looks awesome now, flows very smooth IMO.

Thanks! And I agree, this is a must have for an E93. I was at my dealer recently and even the remaining 2008 128 verts have shadowline! Why didn't BMW make this standard or at least an option for the M3? Oh well, it's fixed now.

Even my wife, who is skeptical about mods in general (and is an artist as well with lots of opinions about "aesthetics") loves this cosmetic mod and thinks it's a "must have" now that it's done. I think I've brought her over to the dark mod side--shortly after I had this done she said "now you need to get those side gills and front grill done"!

Nice job~! And I like your tint too. Not too dark, same darkness front and rear. How much did you pay for tint and where? And how much for shadowline? And I guess Brandon is the guy for shadowline trim.

He sold that car years ago and bought a Cayman, and then sold that and bought a Z4 M Coupe of his own, because his wife was tired of him trying to drive her M Coupe.
