M328CI is right...it sure does look like printed vinyl. and the flaws you see just look like a printing flaw on the vinyl. You should check with the guy who did it as its not bad looking, but you should not have paid for real carbon trim..you shoul have paid for vinyl overlays. You can even see the pixels from the printer.

I agree, I've built Carbon Fiber parts and this is not a real CF part (As far as can be seen from the photos). Real CF + Epoxy parts have a deep looks to them. Basically, if you stare into them your depth perception goes a little haywire and you feel like you might fall into them.

In short, real CFRP parts have lots of depth in their finish. I call shenanigans on the shop if they say they are REAL Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic parts.

I've attached a crude example.

As all others have said, that is not real carbon fiber.

Get your money back.

Sorry man, but that should be called carbon fiber style trim. It is in no way real carbon fiber but merely a printed carbon fiber look on the trim. This is what real CF looks like:

It should have a real depth to it where the carbon fiber was weaved. As long as you like it and are cool with it enjoy it. If you paid a lot for it and was told it was real carbon fiber then get your money back.
