Seattle - What exhaust do you got?

As some of you know I went from oem exhaust to oem exhaust mod to megan racing axle back and now back to oem. Love the noise on the outside but hate how it sounds inside the cabin, particularly in the morning. That said, I propose a Seattle exhaust meet. Post up what exhaust you have... And if enough people respond we can have a meet.

UrbanDk and I are doing an exhaust install party on Sunday. I love my oem but want a touch more volume so I'm taking his oem mod.

If we have the space and some open areas I could record some 1080p sounds clips

I'm buying/installing his oem mod and he's installing Mike's Megan to test pipes, then we're going for a drive. PM urBan_dK if you want to hang out. Not sure how much room is at his place.

I'm definitely always up for a drive/meet although this month I'm pretty busy.

The best exhaust you can get. Sounds stock and deep. The raspy sound of the titanium adds a unique tone.

Yeah no worries. It went well for me and I love the sound of the Megan paired with the TTPs. Just deeper, cleaner, and most importantly no rasp like the OEM exhaust mod w/TTPs. That combo was heinously loud and raspy at WOT.

Transfer - not so much luck. We got all the way down to the last two bolts (8mm "Torx" style holding up the center of the rear canister). Unfortunately, these were on so tight he ended up stripping them I'm not sure anything short of removing the bumper and drilling them out will work.

I've been looking into it, and its a reverse torx bolt but I don't know what size. I'm going to take an 8mm socket to a parts store and try to get the exact fit torx socket then try again. If that doesn't work I'm gonna muscle the hanger off some how. I really don't want to take it in for a $250 bill or whatever it will cost.

Sounds like we were 1 for 2 then. ;-) Sorry to hear Transfer had issues...stripping screws is no fun. Hope it all works out.

I'll have to take a listen sometime...sounds like a good improvement for you. I run test pipes and Dinan rear section on the race track and it sounds fantastic (with a nice power improvement as well). Love the sound...no rasp or drone at all. Fairly quiet when not on the throttle hard, but once you get past 4500 it really starts to open up and sound amazing. 8 grand is a symphony. ;-)

Eisenmann Race w/ Challenge Race X-pipe, it's an acquired cabin sound. The best and badass sounding IMO!

Awesome!

I just can't past the price tag on some of these systems. I'd be looking at a supercharger for that kind of money.

So I finally got mine installed last night. I bought the proper E10 reverse torx socket and got one of the partially rounded rear bracket bolts off but the other one was locked in incredibly tight. I used PB blaster, took my time, and it's nuthin but rounded now. Stupid bolt. Anyway I wanted this thing installed so I muscled the rear hangers off over about an hour with lots of beer and cursing and after that I was in the clear.

So I now have urBan_dK's OEM modded exhaust on and it does sound great. It overpowers the engine noise at low speeds (bummer) but sounds great and equal to engine at full roar. I definitely do NOT want anything louder and this just confirms that I really have no interest in test pipes in the future. I would get a full Akra if I get some inheritance or something.
