Chrysler Lifetime Powertrain Warranty

Just came across this headline and was curious to hear everyone's thoughts...apparently, as long as the original customer bring in their vehicle every 5 years for an inspection, they will honor the warranty.

The warranty is not transferable however.

Hope they've done a better job on Quality Control since the day when my family had a jeep, otherwise this might get quite expensive for them.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if wrangler sales really pick up.

You know why? They are confident the rest of the car components will fall apart before the powertrain kicks-the-bucket.
