2009 e93 Software Recall

Guys-

I was notified (by chance) due to running low on oil and swinging by dealership for some quarts, that a software update was required for my 2009 e93 M3 Convertible. The reason given was a government change regarding 3rd Party ODB readers. I don't know the exact version of what i got, i presume it is the latest software for the M3.

It seems like some of the functionality has changed, small things like icons when making calls. I also had a bunch of "facebook" stuff in the preloaded image, which didn't make sense. Its hard to describe.

Has anyone else had the update and seen similar behavior. Any other documentation on new features? behaviors?

For what its worth, I was told the version of software that i was updated to is 2.41.4.
