ZCP M3 w/OEM 219's!!
So I have a 2011.5 ZCP and driving it around San Diego, CA (more specifically Rancho Santa Fe) is kinda getting old. The roads down here flat out suck and the ride with the 19"s in no bueno. The car just doesnt stay planted around bumpy corners. I decided to try some 18"s and WOW, simply amazing, my most favorite mod yet. Its a whole new car and I'm really bummed I didnt do this sooner. I went with the OEM 219's and have 15/12mm spacers on with stock sized rubber. I Love the gunmetal color as it really matches the carbon fiber and black wheels are SO played out! I wanna up the tire sizes, how big can I go with the OEM 219's???

Several people have done 265/35 and 285/35 on the stock 18's for street use. I agree the car is better in every way except maybe appearance with the 18's on it, that's why my 19's are my winter wheels

Agree on the gunmetal. IMO a better look than black because you still appear to have tires instead of a single big black thing inside the fenders yet retains the color change that black has over a shiny silver, chrome or whatever wheel.

for an increase in tire size, you can opt for the Beefy 265/35 and 285/35 sizing.
the other option is to go with 255/40 and 275/40 but these increase overall diameter without really increasing the effective contact area |

Why would this not increase the effective contact area if they are wider?

I will never change out my 359M's but I AM IN COMPLETE AGREEMENT ABOUT GUNMETAL. Gunmetal just works fantastic on Alpine White. So much so I may have my 359M's powdercoated that color. It looks fantastic and brake dust will not be as noticeable.

I thought the same thing and had to get the ZCP package with my new M. Since I went with the Gunmetal 219's I've never been happier! Between the looks of the big meaty tires and the gunmetal color I'm in love
