Port of Exit

Anyone else having an extended wait at the port? My car has been there over 2 weeks waiting on a boat. It's an east coast delivery, so there's a ship leaving twice a week. Didn't think I'd have to wait that long.

Hmmm, 2 weeks at the port is pretty long. Has it actually been at the port for 2 weeks, or is it 2 weeks since production finished? It does take about a week to get transported from the factory to the port. Also, is your car marked priority 1 (sold to customer)? Otherwise, other cars may be jumping in front of it in line to get on a ship.

I have been checking the VIN on W&W. I actually think now it must have been shipped on a different carrier. I have a request in to my CA to see what's going on.

Someone else reported not getting updated ship info until it was already underway for 4 days. So maybe you're actually on a ship, but the online systems haven't updated yet.

That was me - I kept checking WW's website and every time I'd get "No Records Found" so I assumed I missed the two ships that left on Sep 22 & 23. On the 27th my CA finally gave me the name of the ship (Endurance) and I was also able to find my car on WW's website on the 27th.

My car finished production on the 16th, made it to the port by the 20th and made it onto the Endurance which left on the 23rd and arrives in Baltimore tomorrow.

It does seem odd that your car finished production before mine, arrived at the port before mine and, if it's coming to the east coast, it didn't make it onto the Independence II or Endurance? Sorry...

You east coasters are lucky! I've been waiting about 2 weeks for any west coast ship to leave (next one is Oct 8th I think).

Well I've got my CA looking into it. He said as of yesterday there was no new information. I'm dreading a call to say my car was damaged at some point.

Update for me. My CA verified that my car shipped on 9/29, and will reach the VPC on 10/11. It was shipped on K line.

Did your west coast bound car ship yet? If so what boat are you on? I dropped my car off on Oct 4 in Hamburg and am hoping I got on that Oct 8 boat. It says "In Transit" on the phone line.

It appears that my owners circle info on the website is stuck at "production ends". Called my CA, and it turns out that it left the port on Sept 29. I believe that this is the Guardian Leader (guessing) and is due in the US on Oct 26.

Since it got to port on Sept 28, I had thought it was going to be Asian Vision which leaves on Oct 8 (last Sat), but I it seems I lucked out.

I should try calling the 800 number for fun to see what it says.

the worst waiting is when you can't trace your ship past the celtic sea....luckily my vessel made it to halifax......a day later.

The Georgia Highway is supposed to dock today in Brunswick. My car was shipped on K Line and not W&W. Haven't heard of many other east coasters that went on K Line. Hopefully it clears the VPC quickly.
