They look really good!
Not sure I understand the Tweaking thing... but I think I will get them as well. Thanks for the info!

However, out of the box, they WILL NOT WORK. The metal spring that holds the markers into the car MUST BE TWEAKED OR IT CAN CAUSE PAINT DAMAGE! I realized this before doing any significant damage. I'm going to email this post to the seller so he has an opportunity to correct this.

Thanks! At a basic level, just flip the new ones over and compare them to the originals. You will see that everything is identical except the spring at the top. You need to tweak the spring on the clear ones so that they match the OEM - that's it; piece of cake.

I like the clear reflectors on the SSII. I agree it would only look good on the SSII or white. Thinking about ordering a pair myself.

Thanks again for all the nice compliments.

Soooo, my winter wheels got here today after being refinished by Wheel Collision in Bath, PA:

http://www.wheelcollision.com/

I had them refinish the stock wheels on my STi as well, and these look even better IMHO. I'm very pleased. It was $150 a wheel for blasting, 3 coats of black, and 3 coats of clear.

I think I'm actually looking forward to winter now ; )

Very nice wheels. Did you buy the wheels from the refinishing shop or elsewhere?

Thanks! I got them used from forum member "rldzhao". He shipped them there and they refinished and shipped them off to me.

I did - needed the cash really; didn't want to let it go. On the other hand, having the M3 now, I wouldn't really want to drive the STi much : )

That does suck man...my friend in the UK tells me they are about 50k lbs. It's an incredible car, but they wouldn't move at all for that price here. It would be way out of my price range for one...

Thanks! In the full size pic (fotki won't let me link directly to it) you can actually see the individual fibers in each strand - it's pretty amazing.

Here are some clean (read: rare in Pittsburgh) pics with the winter setup from this morning. I snapped some pics just as it was starting to rain. Not particularly great lighting. I cleaned it Sunday mid-day and it is filthy again after one commute : )
