US Millworks tow hook license plate holder
Anyone else running this?
I just installed mine and the thing sits so far off the front bumper it looks pretty silly. Wondering if I'm missing parts possibly?? Thanks for any help in advance

I've got the lightened kit with the quick release clamp. I love it although I keep it in the trunk most of the time. The only complaint I have is the cotter pin for the quick release is a pain to put in because of how close the plate sits to the bumper when on the car.
Are you sure you got the right kit? Did you screw it in all the way? |

I have the basic one and actually like how it sits off center. I kind of wish I got the lightened one though because that has more holes so more options to place the holder wherever you want. They are the best company though I've seen some crappy ones and none are as good as US Millworks.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Were you guys able to tighten the stem 95% by hand with one last twist with the plate bolted on? With mine I had to bolt the plate on, spin it as much as I could without gouging the bumper, detach, loosen the 4 bolts, realign the plate & do the whole process over 10-15 times. Took about an hour and it's still not sitting close enough.

I would just order a new stem if you have a stock bumper they make one specifically for the m3. It took me about 10 min to install, it's a pain to find the right spot.

Got mine installed the other day after 3 no front plate tickets...really great quality build. I didn't bother with the lightened kit...almost comedic to save the 0.5lbs or whatever it may be...but I suppose that's the racer mentality lol...
