They should have been tuned by M but given a normal designation, like the later 850Ci's. Would have made everyone happy. Think X6 Type R

what a disgrace to BMW, the fugliest, worst performing M ever built, cant believe the M division is now doing SUV's.

Fuck the American consumer. can't believe someone would ever buy this piece of shit. cars these days are hopeless thanks to our retarded "culture".

disgrace? BMW is a company and its goal is to make money. If the chief of consumer research at BMW decides that a pink hovercraft that runs on vegetables with a roundel on the hood will sell, they will sell it.

i think we should all hold judgments (performance wise) til this thing hits the streets. i remember back on 6speed when the cayenne line was announced, everyone was "WTFing" especially with the turbo model. turned out that thing was actually a pretty decent performer and the looks of the cayenne seemed to grow on most people.

The looks of the Pre facelift Cayenne never grew on anybody. Just that they were so fast that nobody saw them enough to understand how ugly they truly were.
