Took delivery of Frozen Gray M3 (limited edition matte color)
As featured on M3post homepage.
BMW Individual is producing only 30 M3's in Frozen Gray for the worldmarket this October Picked it up in BMW World last Friday. Guess after receiving all mods it will be a beauty... Ordered with "Edition" black wheels. |

Wow, yeah I thought that color looked pretty nice in the Frankfurt M6 pics. The interior of the M6 is also a winner.
But that's gonna be a very pricey option, no? I would think a nice premium over the normal $5k individual paint price (that's US price). |

It looks very close to Space Grey in the photo. How does it look different than Space Grey in person?

It really looks if it was Space Grey and they just forgot the clear varnish... It´s matte, but the surface is not rough at all! I took a bunch of pics, but they can´t really show the effect of the colour. Anyhow, I think it can´t be wrong to get 1 out of 30 |

Anyone knows if this limited color option available for U.S. Market? I called my dealer here in NY about this, but couldn't get a straight answer.

If I was going to pay a lot extra for an 'individual' color, I'd make sure it couldn't be confused with anything else, but that's just me. To me, it looks identical to space gray.

Interesting... I wonder how much of an influence Mercedes' $10k "Alu-beam" finish had on BMW's decision to offer this particular individual option.
Personally, my interest may have piqued had BMW went with a "liquid-metal" look over the more common matte.
