If you're planning to track the car the extra weight of the vert probably won't be a factor. Most tracks will not allow a convertible without fixed roll bar.

Really enjoy the freedom of top down driving, wind in your hair, the sound of the M3's exhaust note trailing behind as you snick through the gears.....in case you can't tell I really dig my '08 M3 vert and wouldn't have it any other way. When raised the top feels rigid just like a coupe and I don't really notice the extra weight...BMW did an excellent job of making the M3 vert feel light and neutral handling....better get used to being noticed though...I get folks staring and checking it out all the time!

I had my E93 for about 5 months now and I love it. I am from northern NJ myself and got my car from prestige BMW on Rt. 17. They took care of me and I love my service advisor that I was assigned. I would say if you have time take a ride up there and check out what they have.

Well...

Yes Coupes are less noisy than Convertables. but they are not that noisy...u get used to it. at the end of the day convertables are much more fun once the top is down. and they turn heads on the streets more than coupes.

some people on the street stopped me and asked me to put the top down just because they enjoy looking at it while the top is going down. Convertables are beautiful, thats all i gotta say .

I would say go for a convertable for sure...

and ur kids will love being driven around top down. .

Totally different animals, but you can see what I voted for. It's simply awesome, and you get to enjoy the motor a lot more than the fixed roof guys do. Haven't yet found somewhere that will allow it on track...
