My stock Evo used pull bus lengths on G35 coupes in a straight line... on track it's an even bigger joke. And the Evo only has 290hp. An M3 against a G37 would be an even bigger gap.

Wasn't that like in 2010? I believe I remember that brown civic. But to be fair, most of the mfest crowd is about stance and dyno numbers rather than tracking their "investments"

Infiniti drivers generally suffer from an inferiority complex, as someone else mentioned, and as seen in the example provided by the OP, always appear to have something to prove. There is no Infiniti that comes close to the M3, and they know it, hence the chip on the shoulder.

Actually, you can show him a taste of where the Infiniti (sold as Skyline 350 in Japan) stacks up vs other front-engine rear drive sedans. Pretty much gets pummeled within the first 2 laps and amazing how far the M3 gets ahead of everyone else despite starting in the #4 position.

I see a ton of fast S2000s out at track days. It is a very popular track car. Set up right, they carry so much speed through corners and has good power to accelerate down straights.

A $8000 S2000 is probably a pretty beat up early model. The good condition ones go for much more and are very desirable. Used S2000s get snapped up instantly.

Plus similar characteristics to the m3. High revving engine with similar power band, 50/50 weight and that handling. Its basically half an m3 v8 engine. More hp per liter too.

Isn't the Skyline turbo charged though? I thought the skyline was always a much higher performance car than any other infinity, until the actual Skyline GTR came out here. I don't think a regular V6 would hold up like it did there.
