2. Unbelievable PDK shifter
3. Sport plus, stiffens the car suspension and the engine mounts, which makes a huge difference at the track
4. Not as fast as the M3 or the C63 in a straight line
5. Not even close to the 911 (the front car was a 911, pulled on us like we were standing still)
6. Only room for two people (not very practical for me)

How's the handling difference between 19 and 20 rims?

I am still thinking which rims I should go for (options are expensive in HK).

I think the upgrade is well worth it. You could definitely notice the difference in handeling.

I am not an expert driver, but the handling between the Cayman and the Cayman S was night and day. I bought the Cayman S today with 20s and she will not be seeing the track. Sorry if I mislead anyone.

Which 20'' rims did you both go for?

Most people here go for C2S one for 981 as it is the best value for money.

I thought about getting the Cayman R 19 rims on my 981, but it is as expensive as the 981 20''s.

My fd told me Mr Walter Rohrl mentioned 20'' was few sec faster than 19'' on the Ring in an interview, anyone could find the source of this interview?

I went with the CS. They look really nice and not too expensive as an upgrade.

But I don't know how 20's would translate into a couple of seconds faster on the ring.
I definitely prefer the 5 spokes 19'' on 991 C2 rather than the other Porsche 19'' in terms of looking. But the 19'' on the CS really looks disappointing from most angles.

Yes, it goes extremely well with Satin finishing.

+1. I think more people need to hop behind the wheel of a Porsche before calling it 'overpriced for what it is'. I haven't been able to hop behind the wheel of the new '14 Cayman S, but I did drive a new '12 911 S about a year ago. To date it's the closest thing I could find that compared to the sheer pleasure I get out of driving my E92 M. In fact, both build quality and steering precision is superior to the M as it is less refined (as well as lighter weight).

I was fortunate to be part of a BMW track day a few weeks back. For the track that we were on, the M almost had too much power. You really had to be careful during the elevation changes and coming out of the corners. The ITB's allow the torque to come on in full force if the call is driven correctly. It makes you step back and think maybe Porsche is getting it right when it comes to the power/weight ratio
The Cayman S is 700lbs. lighter than the M, but it only lacks ~20ft/lbs. in tq. I don't know if i'd miss the extra 90hp on my weekly joy rides.
