Smile Budget/Pricing Help For My New M3

Hi guys, I have been looking for a used E92 M3 for quite some time now. I am getting a feeling that my budget and or "wants" might be a little unrealistic so here I am looking for a knowledgeable opinion.

The specs I have been looking for are:
2009-2013
Carbon Fiber Roof
Black (Jerez or Jet)
DCT

I am more than comfortable with 80,000 to ~110,00 mile cars if they are well taken care of.

I have 20~22k to spend depending on the car, but I would really like to be closer to 20k if possible. Do you guys think this is unrealistic? I sold my beautiful Individual Sapphire Black E46 M3 a couple of years ago and have been saving for the right E92 ever since.

With the virus and all I might be able to wait budget 23 thousand but for now that is a bit to higher for me. I just see these cars all over the place anywhere from 18,500 to 32,000 and I'm a bit lost.

Thank you for your time, Ben

(Oh and yes I was on M3Forum for quite some time, sad to see it go)

Sounds reasonable enough to me.. any reason to shy away from 08's? My 08 has been fantastic after 5 years of ownership

From what I understand there were updates to 2009 cars. I do like the updated I Drive and knob. I probably should look at the 2008 cars too though.

I would really like a 2011 but I'm not sure its in my price range.

I found this the other day, there has been a bit of rear bumper damage but speaking with the dealer and getting other pictures it looks pretty clean but even after them telling me it has not sold after two months they are not moving on the price.

Anyone else have any opinions on my budget and everything? Does it seems fair?

You should find a nice one for that amount. I wouldn't focus too much on model year and look more at service/maintenance history and previous owners. The CCC/CIC isn't something I would let move me on a specific car, you're buying the engine and weight balance (which are phenomenal)
Maybe try and have a little set aside for some preventative maintenance once purchased. I'm sure you know what, TAs RBs etc.
Take your time and be willing to travel a little to look at possibles.
Then buy one and don't look back....it's a glorious ride.

And 24k is crazy for that car. Especially with previous damage.

Make sure you have extra money for maintenance because if you're broke after you buy the car what are you going to do if you need to spend thousands to fix something?

Thank you guys. Found the perfect car.

2011 E92 ZCP only 65k miles, Carbon Roof, DCT and the cherry on top Jerez Black.

Thank you guys!
