Tyre uneven wear normal? Is it ok to mix & match tyres?

MOT coming up end of the month so took some measurement to see. (see below)

a) is the uneven wear normal?
b) will it pass MOT?
c) is it okay to get different front & rear tyres?
I want to swap to Falken FK453, but not sure if I can / need to swap all 4 just yet.

i would say you may have an alignement issue as well as inflation. fronts look under inflated causing the center to wear slower than the edges. not sure how the uneven wear happened right to left.

I check the tyre pressure fairly often. But the tyres did come with the car when I brought it so wasn't sure what state or wear it was on. Maybe I'll do some alignment when soon when I get some new rubbers.

Is it okay to get different front and rears?

i wouldnt because it can cause uneven handling charecter. front may have more or less relative grip than the rear and cause an issue. that being said if you are cabaple of determining how your car handles, ie track experience, then you could adapt how you drive to match the car similar to adjusting sway bar at one end or other and such.

I would consider myself a good driver *touch wood*
and plus its mainly daily commutes in traffic.

I don't take it on track or drive like a maniac on public road so it should be ok

I tried FK453 on my 335i before and they weren't that bad?

FRONT
£295.6 - FK453
£480.8 - PSS

REAR
£319.4 - FK453
£579 - PSS

US$ 1702 vs US$ 988
It's 1.8x the cost give or take.

Is it double the performance, endurance, double comfort?

Just a very random thought...

would it be wrong to use 275/30 or 275/35 on my standard 19" rims?
Just wondering if they would be cheaper or more common / option?
