Insurance renewal time...
Who are you guys with these days?
For the last couple of years, Admiral seemed to have been the place to insure M3s - is that still the case? They tried to ask for another £250 quid this year, now "negotiated" back to £125 more...cheeky sods.... |

Cheeky feckers!
Took my first insurance out a few weeks ago. Admiral came out cheapest for me.

make sure you add other qualified drivers - I added my wife to my 335 (although she will never drive it) and Direct Line reduced the premium by £60 - not a bad saving for a phone call

I also added my dad on as a named driver - went down by £135! Also changed job from director to IT manager (it said main job function, not title) - went down by £80! Funny old game

Performance Direct quoted me over a £1000 more than last year! I was gob smacked.
A few calls later and they matched my previous year's premium. WTF?! Unbelievable! |

Admiral for me too - they tried to put it up from £650 to £900 with my renewal in January, but a quick call and 'confirmation of details' it was back down to just under £700.

Admiral for me too!
LV were a little cheaper but insisted on a tracker on the car so all things considered Admiral were cheapest again!

Thanks chaps
Stayed with Admiral in the end - they initially tried to ask for £1250 vs last year's £983 but after lord knows how many times they put me on hold and came back shaving £10-20 off, we settled at £1056 which'll do I guess. Also have a friend on the policy and that does make a difference. |

Admiral here too. Tesco wanted £750. Admiral £350. Bizarrely went up to £400 when I added my daughters Polo on a dual car policy (even though she does not drive the M3 of course).

Put your mum on it and it will be cheaper than your Dad - That old Chestnut about women drivers being safer! Any older female with 15 years + driving license drops it another £50 +

Just renewed this morning with Liverpool Victoria, they were about £75.00 cheaper than the next nearest quote. They have UK call centres, which is a big plus for me.
