Champion, VOLK, and BBS (not all are forged) are always mentioned as excellent wheels.

I think the RAC Monolite thread has it buried somewhere in the 103+ pages. Good luck! |

Thanks for the info LMB! I feel that I always learn something from reading your threads.
Makes sense that Dinan and HRE both have to outsource. It takes too much capital to develop the production plant, and both Dinan and HRE are tiny companies on a global scale.

I love my P40s. Sure other members on the forum have them, but I've never seen an M3 around my area with P40s, come to think of it, I don't think I've seen an M3 with aftermarket wheels around my area.
The P40s are slightly lighter, but the added width and tire size most likely more than evens that out. I'm going to guess with the wheel and tire they are heavier than my stock 19s, albeit by a small margin. Looks wise, they cant be beat. This is of course an opinion. Also, you might want to look into the C20 or C21s by HRE. It's their lightest wheel and they look fantastic. If I we're to upgrade my street wheels it would be to these. |

TE37 all the way. It's a classic. Does the RS come in 18's?

The "scrap" is collected and recycled at about $.70/lb last time i checked. HRE has done a great job marketing their products but is LIGHT-YEARS form being a performance wheel. |

HRE uses the lowest available tonnage for their wheels and have been known to use 5000-series aluminum True manufacturers will design their forgings around their wheels. When a manufacturer designs their wheels around their forgings look somewhere else. |

Hey man, you seem knowledgeable on this issue, so hopefully can answer my question: Do you know what the stock forged 19s are made of? Thanks.

Dinans are awesome, but they're some of the most expensive wheels around. However, money no option, I would get them over HREs any day!!
