Insight into ECU Tuning Video

Hi guys!

We wanted to share a video we just finished with you. We thought it would be a nice idea to show what goes on in the background when we create one of our ECU tunes, and so we created this behind the scenes look at what goes into it.

I realise hardened tuners may already know the majority of what goes on, but for those that don't typically look at ECU tuning this might shed a little light onto the process and the company itself.

Cool video! Nice to put a face to a name. Next time I want to see Paul and Sal featured as well, unless, of course, they are not the model material. Loving the tune and test pipes, btw

Very awesome video! I sleep better knowing that there is a lot of R&D that goes on before a product is released. Great team and great products (I have the stage II w/ servo + DCT).

How does on get an Evolve sticker like that white E92?

Thanks! You may get Paul into a video but convincing Sal to do it maybe a bit harder!

Nice video guys, why is it that manufacturers would leave this type of performance gain on the floor? Presumably their ecu tuners are just as capable, is it down to reliability? Fuel economy?

Thanks for sharing Paul! Neat to see a small glimpse of the inside workings of your shop. I really hope I get to visit you all one of these days!

Cool video.

Emissions regs are the chief reason why OEs tend to be quite modest in terms of tuning. You're selling cars for a global market- so your IAT comp tables have to be just as happy in Southern China as they are in Northern Canada. If BMW suffers a motor failure because they tuned too aggressively for a single car, that's a loss they'll likely have to foot. Not in their best interests to get that extra degree of advance, or whatever it is in question.

Only recently sold the company R56 Cooper S which was running 290 BHP and 330 lb.ft torque in its most powerful format. Was a very fun car to drive.

Oh and high five!
